Patek Philippe ref. 2499/100J Full Set

The quintessential watch from Patek Philippe, size, design, movement, heritage, collectability - all the desirable attributes packed into one incredible watch. The 2499 is most probably the watch that sculpted the collectible world of Patek Philippe - performing at auction throughout the years since it was retired in the 1980s - a (publicly) unique Platinum example was sold in the legendary 1989 Art of Patek auction - sparking the endless lust for the reference all collectors have.
Powered by the legendary Valjoux ébauche, the 2499/100 is the most wearable of all four series with its printed dial and sapphire glass whilst still remaining very collectible, difficult to find in top condition in full set.
This particular example was sold in the 2022 at Sotheby's from the Nevadian Collector, the watch sold for close to 1M USD at the time - showcasing the markets appreciation for top quality examples.
