The Patek Philippe Ref. 1518 holds legendary status as the world's first perpetual calendar chronograph produced in series, introduced in 1941. Combining a perpetual calendar with moon phases and a chronograph, it represented an extraordinary feat of horological engineering for its era.

Produced until 1954 in very limited numbers—around 281 pieces in yellow gold, with rare examples in pink gold, and only four in platinum—the 1518 is exceptionally scarce today. Its clean, symmetrical dial, twin chronograph pushers, and classic case design have made it one of the most coveted vintage Patek Philippe references, regularly achieving multi-million dollar results at auction and cementing its place as a cornerstone of watch collecting history.
